Logistics Apprentice
As a Logistics Apprentice, you will play a role in receiving, preparing, and delivering commercial furniture projects throughout Southwest Missouri. This position is responsible for unloading incoming shipments, staging and preparing products for installation, pre-assembling furniture in our warehouse, loading delivery vehicles, and assisting with furniture installation projects at client locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, inspect, and organize products arriving from manufacturers and freight carriers.
Load Grooms delivery trucks with products and materials for upcoming installation projects.
Pull, stage, and prepare furniture and accessories for delivery and installation.
Assemble and pre-build furniture in the warehouse according to manufacturer specifications.]
Maintain accurate inventory and organized warehouse storage areas.
Assist with furniture deliveries and installation projects at client locations, including systems furniture, private offices, conference rooms, seating, casegoods, and accessories.
Unload products at job sites and assist with assembly, setup, and placement of furniture.
Perform site cleanup, remove packaging materials, and ensure a professional finished appearance.
Safely operate warehouse equipment and company vehicles as needed.
Maintain vehicles, tools, equipment, and warehouse work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Work closely with the installation team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to safely lift, carry, and move furniture, boxes, and equipment weighing 50+ pounds.
Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and on active customer job sites.
Ability to use hand and power tools for furniture assembly and installation.
Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Comfortable driving company delivery vehicles, including straight trucks and transit vans.
Ability to understand assembly instructions and installation drawings.
Warehouse, delivery, moving, construction, or furniture installation experience preferred.
Experience with Herman Miller, MillerKnoll, or other commercial furniture manufacturers is a plus.
