Senior Designer
Grooms Office Environments is hiring for a Senior Designer! As a Senior Designer, you will work with our sales team and clients in a variety of industries to provide commercial interior design services including space planning, material and commercial furniture specification, and project management.

Self-starter who is highly motivated, flexible, and able to multi-task to meet deadlines
Works well in a cross-functional team environment, exhibiting exceptional communication skills
Skilled and efficient in space planning utilization in AutoCAD and CET
Experience with and ability to utilize CET design software
Development of color and material presentations, both electronic (via Canva) and physical
Knowledge of Groom’s product offerings and product positioning
Communicate with vendors to determine pricing, discounts, etc.
Field verification and measurement of site conditions
Basic understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and electrical/data requirements applied to a project
Active and thoughtful participation in client interactions and programming sessions
Ability to understand and read construction documents

Graduate of a four-year program or equivalent work experience with a two-year degree with a Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Interior Design
Minimum of 3-4 years practical experience in commercial furniture design and planning
Experience working with Herman Miller and/or Knoll products preferred
Experience working on design projects for the healthcare industry preferred

Full-time position
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30 am-5 pm and Friday 8:30 am-4 pm
