Children’s Smile Center

Grooms Office Environments was proud to partner with the Children’s Smile Center on its new, expanded location in Nixa, Missouri, a purpose-built facility designed to support the organization’s mission of providing high-quality dental care to children throughout southwest Missouri. As part of this project, our team provided full commercial furniture specification and installation, along with interior design support, helping create a welcoming, efficient environment tailored specifically for young patients, families, and clinical staff.
Designing for Comfort, Care, and Community
Children’s Smile Center is a nonprofit dental provider that primarily serves children enrolled in Missouri Medicaid. The new Nixa facility allows the organization to significantly expand its reach and capacity. The building replaces CSC’s former Ozark location and was designed to accommodate more operatories, staff, and patients while maintaining a warm, child-friendly atmosphere.
Our design and furniture solutions focused on:
Creating a calming, welcoming experience for children and caregivers from the moment they enter the space
Supporting clinical efficiency with durable, healthcare-appropriate furniture selections
Balancing function and aesthetics across waiting areas, staff spaces, and administrative offices
Reflecting CSC’s mission through thoughtful finishes, layouts, and furnishings that feel approachable rather than institutional
A Collaborative Approach
Working closely with the Children’s Smile Center team and project partners, Grooms Office Environments helped ensure that the interiors supported both patient experience and day-to-day operations. From furniture planning and specification to final installation, every detail was selected with long-term performance, comfort, and flexibility in mind.
The result is a thoughtfully designed dental care environment that supports CSC’s continued growth while reinforcing its commitment to compassionate, accessible care for children in the region.
